In POP Tennis, the court is a little smaller, the ball a little slower, the racket a little shorter and specially designed to enhance the experience; this game offers a fun, dynamic and engaging experience for players of all ages and levels.
POP Tennis is a great sport for beginners of all ages, an easy way for tennis and padel players to change their routine or for competitors to find new ways to win.

POP Tennis is easy to learn and enjoy for players of all levels, from seasoned tennis and padel enthusiasts to complete beginners.
POP Tennis is most often played in a doubles format, although the popularity of singles play is growing, so grab a partner and try out the sport that's about to sweep the racquet sports world.
On serve
The server is allowed only one service per point.
This service must be bottom-up
The server serves from the baseline, alternating between the tie and advantage sides (right and left).
The serve must land in the diagonally opposite service box
Counting points
Just like traditional tennis or padel, you can play sets until the tie-break, with an advantage in each game.

The court

POP Tennis has two possible court size options. Both are smaller than a tennis court and all that's required is a lower net and portable lines.
A court that's +/- the size of a Pickleball court.
The racquet
Pop Tennis rackets swap stringing for a hitting zone filled with glass or carbon fibre holes.
A padel-like racket with a different balance and a surface that allows for spin.
The ball
Less lively balls for more feel from the very first rally. 50% and 75% of the compression of a normal tennis ball for lower bounces and longer rallies.
Red, orange or green tennis balls for more play from the very first shot.
On clay:
- place temporary lines to be nailed
- or plastic slats to be laid
- or place permanent lines and double or triple your number of courts on the surface of a tennis court.

POP is ORIGINAL Paddle Tennis, created and developed in Michigan and New York City and dating back to 1898. Iconic Althea Gibson played POP as a child on the streets of New York, which led directly to a legendary tennis career.
VENICE BEACH CALIFORNIA
Built in 1962, Venice's historic courts are considered the Mecca of pOP-tennis and most tournaments are held here.
In 2015, Ken Lindner became President of the United States Paddle Tennis Association (USPTA). Ken's tireless efforts to promote the sport have resulted in many positive outcomes, including the renaming and rebranding of POP Tennis with Ken as POP's founder, national media exposure and, Most importantly, the USPTA has developed relationships with the Tennis Industry Association and the United States Tennis Association.
In late 2016, the USPTA Board of Directors voted to rename the association the International POP Tennis Association (IPTA) and elected Jerry Pham President. Jerry led this task through the end of 2017, building momentum by overseeing POP appearances at industry events and organizing promotional demonstrations across the US. In early 2018, Mitch Kutner was elected president and continued IPTA's plans and visions for exponential growth.
Today, Mitch plays an active role in the growth of the sport not only in the United States, but worldwide.
